Tales from the kitchen

Food is life, the very fuel that our bodies need to function. But food is so much more than that. Food is friendship. Food is family. Food is love. Food is how we share our deepest sympathies with a casserole during a time of grief. Food is how we celebrate the birth of a child or a wedding. Food is what we bring to family gatherings. Food is our fuel, but it’s also the string that links all of us from different families and backgrounds.

That being said, I love to cook. I love to make food for my immediate family and those more distant. I love to share my favorites with my co-workers. My heart lights up when my husbands workmates “request” a baked spaghetti, more fudge, or just one more jar of pickles. I pour a lot of love into everything I make and nothing delights me more than to share it.  On this page, I will share some of my tried and true recipes for you to enjoy with your family and friends.
